There are so many ways to make your way to Electric Picnic! However, please remember travel emissions contribute to the festival’s total carbon footprint. We strongly urge all festival goers to use public transport or car share.
Plan out your route before starting your journey to Electric Picnic. Do not rely on Sat-Nav or Google Maps as there are road closures and diversions in place around the event site that will affect your route to the event.
Only use the official signed and staffed routes to Electric Picnic. These routes will be prioritised by An Garda Síochána.
Google Maps, sat navs and back-road shortcuts will direct you towards road closures, diversions or unsuitable routes and will significantly delay your journey.
Keep an eye out for the white event direction signs from the moment you leave the motorway — they’ll guide you the whole way.

Portlaoise and Portarlington are the closest train stations to the festival.

The pickup/drop-off facility is located just off the N80 on the Portlaoise (North) side of Stradbally.
Directions For Collection August 31st
Junction 16 is closed. Please use Junction 15 on the M7 and follow the dedicated route to pick up from PUDO.
Pick Ups are from PUDO Only.
All Private Hire Coaches and Buses should drop off in the designated Coach Area, located in Pick off and Drop off area off the N80. Please follow the appropriate signage.
It is very important to us that all coaches notify and register with us in advance if providing transport to Electric Picnic, see details below.
If you are arriving in a private hire coach or minibus, with the following information:
Public Bus Passenger Services will also need to obtain an event or venue route licence in advance from the National Transport Authority.

Family Weekend Ticket holders can park their cars in the designated.
Family Car Park located in the Stradbally GAA Club off the Timahoe Road.
Please note, you must have a family weekend ticket in order to park in the Family Car Park. You will need a family wristband to re-enter the car park.
These routes have been planned to avoid the road closures and diversion routes, and to ensure steady traffic flow to the car parks. Your GPS will try to take you a different way and cause delays — the event direction signs are the fastest and safest route for event traffic.
Traffic updates and event announcements may be broadcast on local stations during the day.
