WELFARE

EP Republic Ltd engage with and provide onsite support services on site primarily based in the onsite welfare centre staffed by both medical and welfare personnel. EP Republic Ltd also engage with organisations to provide
outreach support throughout the site for mental health services, alcohol and drug harm reduction as well as many other supports.

 

There is a Welfare Tent located beside the First Aid Point in Jimi Hendrix Campsite and is open 24 hours and is staffed by experienced and supportive people who understand festivals.

 

SAMARITANS

The Festival Branch of Samaritans have been going to Electric Picnic since 2017 offering 24 hour emotional support. They have a team of volunteers who work shifts throughout the day and night dealing confidentially with upset, depressed or suicidal people. The Samaritans’ tent (with prominent green and white “SAMARITANS” banners and huge flags) will be situated in the Jimi Hendrix campsite.

 

Welfare is there to assist anyone who is in need, offering general support, counselling, drug and alcohol information, safe
sex information, crash tent.

MEDICAL

  • CODE BLUE– onsite medical provision providied by CODE BLUE.

 

  • Main Medical Centre – Main Medical Centre will be located in the Jimi Hendrix campsite next to the Arena Entrance, and is open 24 hours. The medical centre will act as a referral centre from the first aid posts
    and roaming mobile teams.

 

  • First Aid Points – First aid posts will be located in the Main Arena, Late Night Arena, Family Camping, Jimi Hendrix, Oscar Wilde, Janis Joplin and the new Eiru Campsite.

CHARITY ACTIVATIONS

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL – Amnesty International will implementing a Sex Worker Rights in Ireland Campaign. There will be panel discussion in Mindfield as well as a presence onsite to give festival goers information
on the campaign on Friday 3pm – 7pm and Saturday & Sunday 12pm – 7pm.

DUBLIN SIMON COMMUNITYDublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness. There will be a charity shop based in the Main Arena and will have 100 volunteers on site across the weekend.

FIELD AGENTS OF CHANGE – Field Agents of Change will have 150 Green Messengers across the weekend who are passionate about educating people on how we can best save our beautiful planet.

IRISH GIRL GUIDES – Irish Girl Guides will be present in the campsites to provide punters with information across the weekend.

ISPCC – The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children will have volunteers on site selling ponchos for €8.

SAMARITANS – Samaritans will give you the time and space to talk things through, so you can find a way through any problems. You can talk to them any time you like, in your own way, about whatever is getting
to you and in complete confidence. Providing emotional support face-to-face on Friday and throughout the weekend. Available 24/7 by freephone 116123. They will have volunteers in the campsites and Arena.

SEXUAL ASSAULT TREATMENT UNIT (SATU) – SATU’S services include a health check, medication if requested and a forensic exam to gain evidence.
Members of SATU will be on site during the festival. They will be giving out free condoms and providing information on what services are available should a rape or assault take place.

SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL – Saint Vincent de Paul is the largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland. They will be providing a decanting service in three locations on site; Quarry Gate, Abbeyleix Gate and Paintball Gate. www.svp.ie

SAFE GIGS IRELAND – Is an initiative which advocates for the creation of a safe space free from discrimination and violence within the environment. They create a zero-tolerance environment for all forms of violence.
Members of safe gigs Ireland will be on site to assist in the implementation of Festival Republics zero tolerance policy and to promote safe gigs for everyone.

SEE CHANGE & SHINE – See Change & Shine are an organisation dedicated to ending mental health stigma. They will be here to provide support and information to anyone who needs it. There will be a branded tent and
café van in the Main Arena.

There are 3 general arena entrances:

  • Jimi Hendrix Arena Entrance
  • Freetown Arena Entrance
  • Cosby Arena Entrance – access for Day ticket holders & local residents
  • Pink Moon Arena – Pink Moon customers only
  • Little Picnic – access from Family and Family Campervan

PHONE CHARGING FACILITIES

Three Charging will be providing charging facilities in the Main Arena, Late Night Arena and Jimi Hendrix Campsite.

ATM’s

ATM’s will be located in the Main Arena. They are open Friday 2pm – 2am, Satarday 11am – 2am and Sunday 11am – 2am.

INFORMATION POINTS

There are information points located in Jimi Hendrix, Andy Warhol, Oscar Wilde, Janis Joplin and Charlie Chaplin campsites as well as the information hub in the Main Arena.

They are there to offer help and advice about facilities and their locations on site. They give have information on travel, line up and you can take any found property there. They also have phone numbers for cancelling lost bank cards.

Arena Opening Times

  • On Thursday, there will be late night entertainment in the woodland areas from 6pm until midnight.
  • On Friday, the Late Night Arena will be open from 12pm-4pm and the Main Arena will be open from 2pm-12am..
  • On Saturday, the Late Night Arena will open from 10am-4am and the Main Arena will open from 11am-2am.
  • On Sunday, the Late Night Arena will open from 10am-4am and the Main Arena will open from 11am until midnight.
  • Opening times are subject to change.

FOOD & DRINK OPTIONS

Bring your appetite! 😋 There will be over 100 food stalls throughout the festival, offering something for everyone. From the infamous EP favourite cheesy bread to freshly made pizzas including vegan and vegetarian options.
