When and where is EP23?

Electric Picnic will take place between 1st – 3rd September, 2023 in Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, Co. Laois.

THINGS YOU CAN AND CAN’T BRING

  • Certain items are not allowed within the arena or the campsites.
  • You may be body and/or bag searched at the entrance, onsite or on leaving. Any item(s), which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger or disruption to any other persons at the event, will be confiscated. Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the arena or other parts of the site may be searched.
  • All of the prohibited items must be surrendered or removed from site. Anyone refusing may face Eviction.
  • Surrendered items will not be returned.
  • Please also note that excessive amounts of food, cigarettes and alcohol may be refused entry to the site.

There are drinking water taps on site, empty water/ reusable bottles (<750ml) are permitted as well as sealed unopened bottles.

Confiscated or surrendered items will not be returned.

CAMPSITE LOCKERS

Lockers and Storage Boxes will be available for storing your valuables all weekend in the Jimi Hendrix campsite. We recommend valuables such as cash, wallets, IDs, cameras etc are kept in lockers for extra security. Storage boxes are perfect for storing larger items such as alcohol, etc. If it fits in, they will store it!
Book your locker in advance to avoid disappointment, as lockers and storage boxes are limited!

PHONE CHARGING FACILITIES

Three Charging will be providing charging facilities in the Main Arena, Late Night Arena and Jimi Hendrix Campsite.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

  • Electric Picnic is a STRICTLY over 18’s event (with the exception of children aged 12 and under). Children aged 13-17 years old are not permitted to attend even when accompanied by an adult.
  • Children aged 12 and under do not need a ticket, but must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian at all times. See the Family section for more information.
  • We would recommend bringing ID as confirmation of your child’s age, a colour photocopy of a passport would be sufficient for this purpose.
  • Note you may be asked to prove your age with photo ID or you will be refused admission. Acceptable forms of proof are: Passport, Garda Age Card, Driving Licence.

WHAT ARE ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID?

  • A Challenge 25 Policy will be in place for all alcohol and tobacco sales on site.
  • Please note that ID checks will be in place on entry to the festival and throughout the weekend. If you cannot present valid ID when asked by a member of staff during the event, you will be refused entry and/or evicted from the site.
  • Accepted forms of ID are:
    •  Passport
    • Drivers Licence
    • Garda Age Cards
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission without a refund if you cannot prove your age.

ATM’s

ATM’s will be located in the Main Arena. They are open Friday 2pm – 2am, Satarday 11am – 2am and Sunday 11am – 2am.

INFORMATION POINTS

There are information points located in Jimi Hendrix, Andy Warhol, Oscar Wilde, Janis Joplin and Charlie Chaplin campsites as well as the information hub in the Main Arena.

They are there to offer help and advice about facilities and their locations on site. They give have information on travel, line up and you can take any found property there. They also have phone numbers for cancelling lost bank cards.

FOOD & DRINK OPTIONS

Bring your appetite! 😋 There will be over 100 food stalls throughout the festival, offering something for everyone. From the infamous EP favourite cheesy bread to freshly made pizzas including vegan and vegetarian options.

WATER

  • There are free drinking water points throughout the campsites and arena and you can find these next to the toilet blocks.

PARKING AT ELECTRIC PICNIC

  • Parking is free. There is a yellow, red and green carpark.
  • The Green Car Park is open from 16.00 on Thursday 1st September for Early Entry ticket holders only. The Red & Yellow Car Parks are open from 09:00 on Friday 2nd September until 13:00 Monday 5th September 2022. The car park is staffed 24 hours a day during this period.
  • Please follow the event signage and directions from the Gardaí when arriving to the festival, not the sat nav! There are different routes into the festival depending on the direction you are coming from and what mode of transport you are using and whether you are being dropped off, a weekend ticket holder, a family ticket holder, bringing campervan/caravans or a day ticket holder.
  • All attendees travelling to the event by car are required to park within the car parks they are directed to by the Gardai and event staff.
  • Parking is free at the festival. These car parks allow access to all general camping areas. No sleeping, camping or fires are allowed in the car parks.
  • Please note that tow-away vehicles are in operation throughout the event and will remove any illegally parked cars. There will also be a local recovery service based onsite on Monday morning.

FESTIVAL CHECKLIST

  • Don’t bring more than you need as you’ll need to take it home again! Most things can be bought on site if necessary.
  • Entry Ticket & ID
  • Medication, if required. Please keep it in it’s original container.
  • Clothing for all weather and comfortable footwear
  • Camping equipment including a sleeping bag and ground mat
  • An empty reusable bottle 750ml or less
  • Refuse sacks for rubbish, recycling and any wet/dirty clothing.

FOOD & DRINK

  • There will be over 100 food stalls throughout the festival, offering everything from traditional pie and mash to freshly made tacos.

SMOKING & VAPING

  • All enclosed spaces onsite are no smoking and no vaping. This includes all stages (other than outdoor stages), all tents and marquees. If you do smoke, please use the butt bins to dispose of your cigarette ends responsibly, paying particular attention in wooded areas.
