The closest train stations are Portlaoise and Portarlington. A shuttle bus service will be running from both stations daily to Electric Picnic.
Shuttle Services
Martleys will be running a shuttle service from Portlaoise to Electric Picnic including Portlaoise train station and Portlaoise Plaza off the M7 at Junction 17.
Marathon are running a return shuttle service from Dublin City Centre to Electric Picnic.

Getting a lift?
There’s a dedicated pick up and drop off area for parents, friends and taxis to use off the N80. Exit at junction 16 and follow event signage and direction from An Garda Síochána, not Sat-Nav or Google Maps.
Hiring a mini bus? They can use the Pick up and drop off area too! Exit at junction 15. Register your bus here: Submit a request – Electric Picnic CS. (Under travel section)
Driving to Electric Picnic
Opening times:
- Thursday 28th: Early entry at 14:00
- Friday 29th: General entry at 09:00
Parking is free; follow event signage and direction from An Garda Síochána, not Sat-Nav or Google Maps to avoid delays. Official event routing will be prioritised

Campervans & Caravans
General Campervan opens 12 noon Wednesday 27th August
Family Campervan opens 2pm Thursday 28th August
- A Campervan/Caravan Pass + Weekend Ticket is required for every occupant. Pass hangers have been posted in advance and must be clearly displayed with a contact number written in.
- Vehicles are searched on entry. Read the full Do’s & Don’ts on our website before you arrive.
- No makeshift campervans (e.g. vans with mattresses, trailers, or vehicles without proper ventilation, water storage, or fitted living facilities). These will be refused entry.
