Just announced: An Chollchoill | The Hazelwood line-up for 2026!

Celebrating 10 years at Electric Picnic, An Chollchoill | The Hazelwood is Electric Picnic’s enchanted, intimate haven nestled deep within the Stradbally woodlands. Follow the music down meandering paths through the forest and step into a world that celebrates Irish language, culture, music, and performance art, all set beneath a lush natural canopy.

The Hazelwood Line-up

Picnickers arriving on Thursday will be treated to an all-female lineup of musical theatre, the INNER VISION visual light projection by Suzie Walsh, the Morrigna fire show, singer-songwriters, spoken word, and music, hosted by comedian Bláthín de Búrca.

Over the past decade, Hazelwood has curated a unique cultural programme that has grown alongside a renewed appreciation for Irish language, music, and performance. Seisiún seekers will be entertained by Ispíní na hÉireann; Liam O’Connor returns with the fastest fingers on an accordion; and don’t miss the infectious rhythmic energy of Clada, which will have everyone dancing on the forest floor. Plus, enjoy music from Bog Bodies, Burnchurch, Leatsa, Méabh Mulligan, Eva Carroll, Rua Rí, Lúlia, Gillian Egleston & Mike Hennigar, Birch, Oracle Villa, Major Feen, Coscán, and Tigh na Coille with Denis Liddy! Also featuring on the stage over the weekend is An Galar Dub with Shelovescalpol, DJ Nemo, plus HipHap Gaelach, The Caochaleles, Ragéire, Misleór, and Sacred Sites of Ireland.

The winners of Electric Youth 2026 were announced at a spectacular Grand Final at the Dunamaise Arts Theatre, following a series of July semi-final heats featuring some of the country’s most exciting young musical talent. Five winning acts—Maryann, Paradise Conspiracy, Fierin J, Beomhar, and Mackayla Chloe—will now take to An Chollchoill | The Hazelwood Stage at Electric Picnic 2026, with performances scheduled across Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday of the festival.

As dusk falls on the woods of the Stradbally Estate, An Chollchoill | Hazelwood Afterdark will take centre stage with songs and stories as Gaeilge curated by Conradh na Gaeilge andd Raidió Rí-Rá, alongside much-loved talent from across Ireland. Adding to the excitement, two secret acts are set to close the An Chollchoill | The Hazelwood Stage on Saturday and Sunday. One promises a spellbinding collision of Irish-language song, ancient tradition, and pulsating electronic sounds, while the other brings together the spirit of Irish trad with raw punk energy and psychedelic influences. Their identities will remain under wraps for now, with the mystery acts set to be officially revealed on Saturday 29th.

TG4 returns for a second year, setting up their studio in Hazelwood / An Chollchoill to film BEO ÓN ELECTRIC PICNIC, presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc and John Sharpson. Featuring acts from across the festival lineup with interviews, live music, and sessions, the show will air on TG4 at 9:30pm on Sunday, August 30th.

Speaking ahead of this year’s festival, Orlaith Nic Ghearailt Awareness Campaigns Manager with Conradh na Gaeilge said

“We’re delighted to be heading back to An Sráidbhaile this year with our Gaeltacht campsite and have some amazing acts joining us sa Chollchoill. Over the last number of years, it’s been great working with Festival Republic and Melvin Benn to promote the Irish language all over the festival. We’re delighted to have TG4 broadcast again this year where they’ll showcase the festival and Irish language artists from an Chollchoill on their show, BEO ÓN ELECTRIC PICNIC.”

Deir Orlaith Nic Ghearailt, Bainisteoir Feachtais Feasachta le Conradh na Gaeilge:

“Tá ríméad orainn bheith ag filleadh ar an Sráidbhaile i mbliana, leis an láthair champála Ghaeltachta agus na ceoltóirí iontacha a bheas linn sa Chollchoill. Is mór againn an comhoibriú leanúnach le Festival Republic agus Melvin Benn leis an nGaeilge a chur chun cinn ag an bhféile. Táimid ag tnúth go mór le TG4 a bheith linn sa Chollchoill arís lena gclár BEO ÓN ELECTRIC PICNIC a thaispeánfaidh scoth an cheoil a bheas linn thar an deireadh seachtaine.”
