At Electric Picnic we aim to create an event that’s truly accessible for all, which is why – for the past 15 years – Festival Republic (who own and operate EP) are signed up to Attitude is Everything to achieve this goal.

A charity set up to help improve deaf and disabled people’s access to live music, as well as to support the music industry in making live music events more accessible, Attitude is Everything started life as a pilot project in 2000, growing into a fully independent charity which is now part of the Arts Council England’s National Portfolio of organisations.

The Electric Picnic Access Team work all year round to improve the experience for access customers. Our team can be found at the festival itself, working alongside a team of dedicated volunteers who run the Access Check In within the Access Campsite and the viewing platforms within the Arena.

Due to an overwhelming number of access applications, we are closing the application earlier. The new closing date is Friday the 4th of August 2023. We advise that any applications that are not yet completed should be submitted by the stated closing date, In order to be considered.

Applications are now closed.

  • In order to provide the best possible experience, we ask that everyone who wishes to use the Access facilities at Electric Picnic complete and submit an Access Requirements Form.

When applying for access at EP we ask that you provide one of the following forms of documentation which will act as evidence of your requirements. Without this documentation we will be unable to grant you access, or provide complimentary PA Tickets.

Please note: If you are on the Festival Republic Access Database (i.e. have previously applied and had an application approved within the last three years) you will not need to re-supply documentation.

Accepted forms of documentation are:

  • Disability Allowance Letter
  • Letter from a medical professional
  • D/deaf or blind registration
  • Blue Badge (Permitted for parking requests only)

If you do not have one of the forms of documentation listed above, please contact us and we’ll be able to advise further. Alternatively, if you do have required documentation but are unable to include it in your application, please state you will forward it to us (by email, fax or post) in the ‘Additional Notes’ box on the form.

All submitted documentation is kept strictly confidential and securely destroyed after processing.

Whilst submitting your application form, you can choose to join Festival Republic’s Access Database. By doing so, once accepted a first time, you will not need to resubmit documentation for a further three years and will automatically be pre-approved for access at our festivals.

Please note: Once approved we will only retain your name and email address. We will never use your information for any other purposes (unless specifically stated) or share this with any third parties.

We aim to process all applications within 4 weeks of customers submitting an Access Requirements Form; however, due to demand, this is not always possible. Once your application has been approved we will send a confirmation email, detailing the facilities you have requested access to, and confirming your PA Ticket (if applicable).

Nearer the event successful applicants will also be sent an email containing a downloadable Access Guide.

If you or anyone in your party is a Guest with access requirements, please apply for the facilities you require, please note you do not need to wait to be approved as a Guest before you apply for access.

Everyone who successfully applies for access at EP will be sent an Access Guide (via email) prior to the event. This will include detailed access information specific to the event.

Our Access Guide includes:

  • Arrival Information
  • Site Changes and Updates
  • Access Maps (including route distances, charging points, accessible toilet and platform locations and more)
  • Opening Times
    Access Facilities and more!

We recommend saving and printing a copy of our Access Guide for your own reference (once available). No hard copies will be available on-site.

A downloadable copy of our Access Guide will also be available here nearer the event.

If a customer is unable to attend the festival without the support of a PA then we will provide an additional complimentary PA ticket. You can apply for a PA Ticket when completing your Access Application Form.

Please note:

  • You do not need to purchase a PA Ticket, however Access Customers will need to purchase a ticket for themselves before applying. We are unable to refund tickets purchased for PAs.
  • PA Tickets are provided on the expectation that PA’s are willing and able to assist you throughout your visit, and would be available and able to help you in the event of an evacuation.
  • PA Tickets must be applied for via the Access Requirements Form, and can only be approved by members of the Access Team.

If a child under the age of 12 (aged 11 or younger) at the time of the event requires a PA Ticket, please contact us directly so we can advise.

Where possible, an accessible toilet will be located beside each of the viewing platforms with their use restricted to Access customers only. There will also be accessible toilets in the Accessible Campsite and located at the Medical Tent.

Please note that toilet service vehicles have limited access to toilets during the day due to safety issues relating to large vehicles being used around crowds. While we strive for the highest standards and employ cleaners as well as servicing vehicles, we ask you to bear in mind this is not a sanitised environment.
