From Dublin/North – M7 Southbound

• Exit the M7 at Junction 16 (Ballydavis Interchange).
• Take the R445 towards Portlaoise.
• After 500m, turn left onto the R425 towards Stradbally.
• Go straight through Bloomfield Roundabout, staying on the R425 towards Abbeyleix.
• Continue on the R425 for 2.5 km until you reach Sheffield Cross.
• Go straight onto the R426.
• Stay on the R426 for 4.6 km until you reach Money Cross.
• At Money Cross, turn left and follow event signs to the car parks.

From Limerick – M7 motorway Northbound

• Exit the M7 at Junction 17.
• Head West towards Portlaoise on the N77 / Abbeyleix Road for 500 m.
• Turn right onto Meelick Road and continue straight for 1.3 km.
• At the T-junction, turn right onto the R426 and follow it to the next T-junction.
• Turn right at Sheffield Junction.
• When the R425 meets the R426 at Sheffield Cross, keep on the R426.
• Continue on the R426 for 4.6 km until you reach Money Cross.
• At Money Cross, turn left and follow event signs to the car parks.

From Cork – M8 motorway Northbound

• Exit the M8 at Junction 3 (Manor Stone) and turn right onto the R433 towards Abbeyleix.
• Continue straight for 10.5 km through Ballacolla to Abbeyleix.
• In Abbeyleix, turn left onto the N77, drive 800m, then turn right onto the R425 / Ballyroan Road.
• Follow the R425 straight through Ballyroan for 7.5 km to Cashel Cross.
• At Cashel Cross, bear right onto the R427.
• Continue on the R427 to Money Cross.
• At Money Cross, go straight and follow event signs to the car parks.

N80 from the West

• Travel on the N80 through Mountmellick towards Portlaoise.
• Continue on the N80 to the Fairgreen roundabout.
• Take the second exit onto the Portlaoise Ring Road (R945).
• Continue for 3km towards Mountrath Road (R445).
• At the roundabout, take the third exit and continue uphill on the R445 to the next roundabout.
• At this roundabout, take the first exit onto the Old Knockmay Road / Father Brown Avenue Road.
• At Fr. Brown Roundabout, continue straight to the Portlaoise South Circular Ring Road.
• At the O’Doran Roundabout, take the third exit onto the R426 towards Sheffield.
• When the R426 meets the R425 at Sheffield Cross, continue straight on the R425.
• Continue for 4.6km until you reach Money Cross.
• At Money Cross, turn left and follow event signs to the car parks.

N80 from South East/Carlow /Athy

• Travel west on the N80 into Stradbally.
• At Court Square, turn left onto the Timahoe Road.
• Follow event signs to the car parks

These routes have been planned to avoid the road closures and diversion routes, and to ensure steady traffic flow to the car parks. Your GPS will try to take you a different way and cause delays — the event direction signs are the fastest and safest route for event traffic.

All customers are to follow the same routing as families. Closer to the event site, accessibility specific event signs will direct customers where to go.

Vehicle passes and directions will be sent to Accessible customers in advance of the event.

From Dublin/ North – M7 Motorway southbound

• Exit the M9 at Junction 3 and join the N78 to Athy.
• Before reaching Athy, at the roundabout take first left onto the new Athy Distributor Road.
• Follow this road until meeting the N78 towards Kilkenny via Ballylinan.
• Continue on the N78 until it meets the N80.
• At the junction between N78 and N80, turn right towards Stradbally.
• Continue straight on the N80 for 11km to Court Square and turn left onto the Timahoe Road.
• Follow event signs for Accessibility down the Timahoe Road and into the car park.

From Limerick/ Cork – M7/M8 Motorway northbound

• Exit the M7 motorway at Junction 16 onto R445.
• Turn left towards Rathbrennan and travel to Bloomfield roundabout.
• At the Bloomfield roundabout, take the first exit onto the N80.
• Continue on the N80 to Stradbally.
• At Court Square, turn right onto Timahoe Road.
• Follow event signs for Accessibility down the Timahoe Road and into the car park.

N80 From the West

• Travel on the N80 through Mountmellick towards Portlaoise.

Family Weekend Ticket holders can park their cars in the designated.
Family Car Park located in the Stradbally GAA Club off the Timahoe Road.

Please note, you must have a  family weekend ticket in order to park in the Family Car Park. You will need a family wristband to re-enter the car park.

Big Yellow Trucks are back this year providing a trolly rental service at Electric Picnic!
They’re based in the Red and Yellow car parks.
Rental slots are 2 hours long to give you enough time to get from the car park to the campsite.

The Campervan / Caravan tickets are supplementary tickets, attendees must also be in possession of a Weekend ticket. There are four ticket types;

The General Campervan and Caravan Campsite is open from 12:00 on Wednesday, 26th August; however, access to the Event Site will be restricted until the general campsites open at 14:00 on Thursday, 27th August.

The Family Campervan and Caravan is open from 14:00 on Thursday, 27th August.

Please ensure you pick the correct ticket for your vehicle as the tickets are not interchangeable.

An Garda Síochána Crime Prevention Advice 

DO

Remember there’s safety in groups, camp with friends or make friends with your neighbours – they will keep an eye on your tent while you are gone, and you do the same for them! Do not forget if you are alone and need help, we have the Ask for Angela campaign at Electric Picnic.

Remember where you pitched your tent. It will be dark when you return.

Remember to drink alcohol responsibly.

Consider saving a contact number (other than your number) of a friend or family member as a screen saver, which will help establish ownership of your phone should it be handed into us in An Garda Síochána or onsite security, e.g., this phone belongs to (First name) if found, please contact (number). 

DON’T

Do not bring valuables to the event. Only bring with you that you can afford to lose. A tent is not 100% secure, so only bring what you absolutely need.

Do not be tempted to leave valuables in your vehicle. Empty the glove box and leave it open to show thieves nothing of value is inside. Remember where you parked your car. Car parks are clearly marked and identifiable.

Do not keep all your bank cards and valuables together. Keep them in different pockets and not leave your backpack or handbag unattended.

Do not challenge people if you witness an incident. Report suspicious activity to event security, staff or Gardaí immediately.

Do not give anyone PIN code access to your mobile phone, especially if you receive a call from anyone purporting to be Gardai or any other official. We do not require access to your phone to return it to you if you follow the advice above.
