Growing up in a musical household, singing has long established a place in Rita’s heart. With a confessional approach to lyricism, steeped in vulnerability and emotion Rita shares her internal world through song.
In her writing the Cork native hopes to evoke shared truths, drawing influence from nature, intimacy, movement, heartache and spiritual wonder. Accompanying Rita for her soulful set at Electric Picnic is Jessey Hanley on Cello and Meg Cronin on Saxophone/Vocals.
