The Flaming Lips

Three-time Grammy award winning psychedelic legends, The Flamming Lips, are celebrated the world over for the discordant orchestrated arrangements, surreal lyrics, and bizarre song titles, perfectly epitomised by their beloved classic single "She Don't Use Jelly".
 
The Oklahoma rockers' brilliantly produced  albums "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots", and their breakthrough "The Soft Bulletin" are considered some of the greatest alternative rock albums of the late 1990s/early 00s, employing synths and computer manipulation over catchy melodies to incredible effect.
 
One of Q Magazine's "50 bands to see before you die", the Lips are further renowned for their thrilling live shows, which typically feature animal suits, puppets, streamers, video projections and complex stage light configurations. The band have a street named after them in Oklahoma City (Flamming Lips Alley), and their classic song "Do You Realise??" was recently named the official rock song of the state of Oklahoma.

This will be a first chance to hear their thirteenth studio album 'Embryonic', which is due for release on Warners Brothers in late September.
