Peter BroderickPeter Broderick is the young musician and composer from Portland, whose prodigious talent so impressed Danish ensemble Efterklang, that the band invited him to move to Copenhagen to become a permanent part of their instrumental collective, for which he is now the permanent violinist. Before this move, Broderick had played and toured with numerous groups in the States, and had become an established session musician, contributing violin, banjo, musical saw, mandolin, etc to artists such as M. Ward, Zooey Deschanel, Dolorean, and many more. Broderick's real focus however has always been his own astonishingly mature music. Since joining Efterklang in 2007, he has released the mini album of solo piano music "Docile" on the Swedish label Kning Disk, as well as a 7″ "Retreat/Release", and his first full-length album of piano and string based compositions, "Float". Following his primarily instrumental releases, Broderick emerged with a completely different side to his music in late 2008. His stunning latest album "Home" is a collection of folk songs, based around voice and guitar, recorded between tours at the end of 2007/beginning of 2008.
