Passion Pit

The Passion Pit's live pop synth explosion consists of Micheal Angelakos on vocals. Ian hultquist(synths), Ayad Al Adhamy (synths, samplers), Jeff Apruzzese (bass, synths), and Nate Donmoyer (drums). Michael is a songwriter's songwriter drawing from a variety of influences, from the classic pop of Randy Newman to the celebrated synth work of Giorgio Moroder.

The Boston based Passion Pit began as a one-man mission of singer and songwriter Michael Angelakos to produce a message. The message was an EP entitled Chunk of Change. Soon winding up in the hands of friends and acquaintances and industry exec's who were enthralled with the work.

Passion Pit has already blown away audiences opening up for Death Cab For Cutie , Girl Talk, These New Puritans and more. Also winning the WFNX/Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll as the Best New Local Act of 2008, Passion Pit hopes to bring their soulful dance explosion to The Picnic. With 09's "Manners"Album receiving such passionate reviews you’d be inclined to believe them.
