Ohbijou

Ohbijoui are held together by Casey Mecija's tender compositions, furnishing their sound with mandolin, violin, piano, banjo, cello and an impressive array of other instruments. Ohbijoui is a seven piece orchestral pop force.

Ohbijou have a healthy preoccupation with the movements and events that coincide with the creation of their music. Mecija's songs are wrought with the romantic afflictions of big city life.

Ohbijou's delicate sound increasingly matures with each recording. There most recent "Beacons" record gleaned early praise from critics and was touted as one of 2009's most anticipated albums.
