Julie Feeney

Choice Music Prize winning singer, composer, multi–instrumentalist, and Galwegian Julie Feeney is one on Ireland’s most innovative and independent musicians. As well as writing her songs and composing the orchestral backing, Feeney also releases her work through her own label, and retains total control over her unique creative output.

She won the inaugural Choice Music Prize for her first incredible album "13 Songs", and has recently released the stunning follow-up. This year's "Pages" was produced and entirely composed by the masterful Ms Feeney, who even conducted the top-flight full orchestra that performed the tracks in a single day's recording session. Nothing was added to this musical backdrop but Feeney’s own haunting voice.

Julie will perform at Electric Picnic with an eight piece orchestra, putting on a show that combines songs from both her albums with elements of theatre and performance art.
