J. Tillman

J. Tillman joined Fleet Foxes last summer, after their Sun Giant EP had already converted many listeners into fans. Before that, a solo artist in his own right for nearly five years, developing his own sound and identity on four intimate limited-release albums.

The only constants in his diverse back catalogue are Tillman's wounded vocals and acoustic guitar, which he alternately strums with percussive force or patient restraint.
Tillman's music paints languid, sadly beautiful portraits of love and life on the margins with the moody depth of Nick Drake and the country-influenced textures of Ryan Adams.
