Jazzanova (Live)

Jazzanova is a German Berlin-based DJ/producer collective consisting of Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen von Knoblauch, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering, and Axel Reinemer. While they have DJ’d in Ireland on several occasions, this is the first time they will bring their full 5 piece live show to these shores.

Founded in 1995 the group is one of the foremost proponents of the nu-jazz, chill out and jazz house styles of music associated with record labels such as Compost Records and Sonar Kollektiv…..But then they're so much more.

Treasured remixers: spending up to three months on one project by manipulating their subject matter into free form jazz, drum 'n' bass, soul and Latin, Their debut proper "In Between" came in 2002. Soon samples give way. In their own words…

"When you write your own songs, you come up with a larger repertoire. Recording with live instruments from the start was the important next step."

A very rare full band show is in store for the picnic.  With all that pent up creativity and a litany of fusion ready to go prepare your ears for Jazzanova live.
