Imelda May

Meteor award winning Dublin-born rockabilly sensation Imelda May makes her first appearance at Electric Picnic this year. The sultry songstress has dominated the Irish album charts since the last few months with her stunning debut "Love Tattoo", which went to number one, and was recently certified double platinum.

Having coming out of nowhere in late 2008, May has stunned audiences with her seductive vocals and feisty burlesque live performances at sold out shows around the UK and Ireland, including two sold out shows at Vicar St in June.

Her fresh blend of irresistible jazz beats, blues, and fast-tempo rockabilly have won May such fans as Jools Holland, Michael Parkinson and Beck, as well as massive public and critical acclaim.
