Fionn Regan

Irish folk singer/songwriter, whose debut album "The End of History" was ecstatically received by pundits and public, and earned the Wicklow man two Meteor award nominations, a Choice Music Prize nomination, and a short-listing for the Mercury Music Prize 2007.

His popularity in Ireland is equalled in the UK, where he is signed to prestigious dream pop label Bella Union Records. In the US and Canada he is with Lost Highway, home to such artists as Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, and Willie Nelson. His sublime single "Ber Good or Be Gone" has been featured in the television series Grey's Anatomy, Nearly Famous, and Skins.

The singer's acoustic-based folk calls to mind Regan's acknowledged influences Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Woody Guthrie. His compelling melodies are overlaid with lyrics full of poetry and metaphor, to the point where Regan becomes more enigmatic troubadour than rising pop star.
