Dublin Gospel Choir

The much beloved Dublin Gospel Choir makes a welcome return to the Electric Picnic after a phenomenal five year streak of appearances on the festival's main stage.

From its modest origins as a Dublin inner city school choir, the collective has gone on to become one of the country's most popular touring groups. They have performed with a litany of stellar artists, including James Brown, Rod Steward, Chris de Burgh, and John Legend.

After ten years as unrivalled leaders of gospel in Ireland, the Dublin Gospel Choir released their 2006 debut album "Moving On", a wonderfully uplifting collection of twelve traditional and contemporary gospel tracks.

The DGC will be debuting some brand new material at the festival, from their upcoming live album, due for release in November. Their inspirational show will include 30-piece choir and 7-piece orchestra including their phenomenal brass section. If you can't catch them at EP, check out their show at Tripod on November 7th!
