Cap Pas Cap

One of the leading Dublin groups to emerge in recent years, Cap Pas Cap caught the attention of critics and music hawks from their earliest days, before the quartet had released even a single track.

Their hyperactive motorik pop-chants of pounding drums, fuzzed up drones, and new wave-led synths caused an unusual anticipatory buzz, which was later fully answered by the overwhelming response to the band’s stunning subsequent output.

In 2006 the group released the critically acclaimed “Not Not is Fine” EP on Skinny Wolves. It sold out completely in weeks. "A breathtaking debut release…jagged riffs with clean edges, and clever, repetitive melodies abound." -Totally Dublin

Through 2006 and 2007 CAP PAS CAP went on tour with The Go! Team, Crystal Castles and Erase Errata, and performed with No Age, Foals, These New Puritans and The Gossip. The latest of their new material was released in November last year in the form of the brilliant EP "We Are Men", featuring the title track, and remixes by Jape, Decal, and thatboytim.

Their eagerly-anticipated debut album will be released in late 2009.

"Edgy, daring and sparky, Dublin band Cap Pas Cap play a hugely alluring post-everything game. There has only been a handful of releases to date, but each one has seen them pulling new shapes from the bag."–Irish Times "Top 50 Irish Bands right now" article.
