Blitzen Trapper

Often compared to the early lo-fi eclectic mixtures of Beck, Portland's Blitzen Trapper had already gone through various genres on their first few records
The band self-released two albums, an eponymous effort in 2003 and "Field Rexx" in 2005. 2007's highly acclaimed "Wild Mountain Nation" landed the group a record deal with Sub Pop, resulting in 2008's "Furr"

The release of "Furr" in 2008 was a high-water mark for the group as their eclectic new songs received a two-page feature in Rolling Stone. The album was ranked #13 on Rolling Stone's Best Albums of 2008 while the title track was ranked #4 on the magazine's Best Singles of 2008.

The band presents vividly eclectic contortions through alt-folk and garage rock. Consummate performers ‘Trapper will be welcomed to the Electric stage.
