Trenchtown

Formally known as Tir na Gasta

A Jamaican village right in the heart of Stradbally!, Trenchtown is the brainchild of IRIE Land, a company founded to promote cultural and commercial links between Jamaica and Ireland. Roots n reggae vibes, all the delicious foods, drinks, aromas and clothing of the region, and a typically laid back atmosphere are to be enjoyed deep in its woodlands location from 12pm to 4am each day.

  • De Jerk Shack
    Serving authentic mouth watering, Jamaican jerk, chicken with rice n peas of the highest standard. Prepared by Jamaican chefs using their own family recipes.
  • Tropical Blends
    Serving 100% natural juices and blended exotic fruit cocktails.
  • Tropical Fruit Stall
    Fresh fruit stall specialising in tropical fruit, watermelon, mango, papaya, pineapple.
  • Jamaican Coffee House
    Serving freshly brewed coffee and rum cake. Tea and scones.
  • Jamaican Dance Tent
    Inspired by sun, sea, sand and music we have exclusive Irish rights with Riddim Drivin Clothing. A Jamaican company founded in 1978. Still manufacturing music inspired clothing today. The stall will also sell sunglasses, straw hats, beads and CDs.
  • The Jamaican Dance Tent
    Showcasing the best of caribbean music over the last 60 years. FromSka to Rumba, Socca and Reggae. Right true to Dub, Drum and Bass and Jamaican Dance-Hall.
  • Broadcasting Irie FM, Jamaica's leading independent Reggae Radio Station.
    Sending requests and greetings live throughout the weekend to the venue. Using our own resident Jamaican DJs and in collaboration with Firhouse Skank in Dublinand other chosen DJs and Artists from around the country. We can entertain nonstop from 12pm to 4am Friday through to Sunday. Leaving our audiences and visitors in no doubt as to the diverse, energy and quality of Caribbean and in particular Jamaican life, music and culture.

Treasure beach International: Featuring three selectors, Daps Baggs and Breeze from Jamaica's south coast, who can combine tourist beats with Jamaica's hard Dance hall.

Firehouse Skank: Well known Dublin outfit who cover all variants of Caribbean Latino music.

One World Sounds featuring Will Softly: Old school professional reggae stalwart from Galway.

MC Little LTree: Dub specialist , numerous tours of Ireland, England and Germany.

Bionic Rats: Ska and UB 40 inspired. Have played the Pod a well known Dublin group.

Italics: Female dominated and vocally inspiring band from Cork.

Intinn: Up n coming Galwayreggae band releasing their new CD in June this year.
