Global Green

Last year the Electric Picnic launched its five-year sustainability strategy to reduce the environmental impact of the festival. We won the Greener Festival Award for our efforts. This year we are 'keeping it green'.

The Global Green returns with a new home located beside Green Crafts and opposite the entrance to Body and Soul. It will be the place to relax, explore and reflect on critical issues and ponder on how we might green up our lives, be more ethical, and thrive in these uncertain times.

Under the theme, "In Transition" the organisations and initiatives in the Global Green will come together to creatively explore how we can make the transition from a system dependent on fossil fuel and the exploitation of both people and the planet, to a world that is low carbon, fair and resilient.
