Bin Your Empties are a group of artists who want YOU to give them your rubbish to make artistic sculptures. Come visit our HQ in the Global Green and check out the CAN DRAGON, PLASTIC FISH, and PAPER BIRD.

To help you help us we hand out CLEAR BAGS FOR (CANS), GREEN BAGS FOR (PAPER, PLASTIC AND MIXED RECYCLABLES) and BLACK BAGS FOR NASTY LANDFILL WASTE.

Simply fill a bag and bring it back to one of the eight RECYCLE STATIONS located in the campsites. Look for the PURPLE FLAGS to find us. Will even give you a FREE BEER to say thanks .....coz we like to be nice.

We've also placed barrel bins on site to help you RECYCLE, these are all painted and clearly labelled recyclables or landfill.

But it's not just about eye candy! Our aim is to encourage you to take responsibility for your waste. Nature is the real stage on which Electric Picnic takes place. The trees, plants, birds and wildlife live here all year round. 30,000 of us climb through the hedge for 3 days. Let's leave these beautiful fields as lovely as we found them. Let's create a little gratitude for the wonderful party this natural environment has afforded us. Those little micro decisions inside your head to throw it on the ground or Bin Your Empties makes the difference between festival heaven or festival hell!! In fact the whole festival phenomenon is really a microcosm of the global ecological crisis. That’s why we are screening some wonderful movies in our WIND POWERED CINEMA (at HQ in Global Green). As well as our Recycling Stations in the Camp Site you can visit the BYE HQ in the Global Green. Here you participate in Recycled Art with the CAN DRAGON, PLASTIC FISH, and PAPER BIRD. We will be offering some separation education and demonstration of recycling systems in our recycler area. We are screening some wonderful movies and short films in our WIND POWERED CINEMA powered by ECOTEC.
