What To Expect

The Body & Soul, known as the heart of the festival, is on a mission to create as much magic as a village can muster at this years Electric Picnic, by bringing you a eclectic melange of all the things we LOVE.

Atmospheric engineering, fused with nature and art is the focus of this year and with that in mind, we have dotted the magical landscape that is now the home of the Body & Soul village with organic sculpture, art installations, natural dwellings, intimate cocoons, tulip lanterns, zen gardens, bamboo architecture and a majestic Woodhenge to bring some of the past into the present.

Alongside that we have custom designed venues for your imagination, education and enjoyment, featuring the best in Electronica, Spoken Word and visual alchemy, the permaculture Earth Spirit eco-haven with workshops in cob wall building, urban gardening and African drumming, the solar powered Green house with a focus on what matters, why it matters and how to be part of a movement that makes a change, the BogStock bog cottage, with its foot rubs and piano-fiddle fantastic fusion, nestled next to Plant Magic, with their lotions, potions, tinctures and witchey brews.

Hidden within the Zen gardens reside therapists to cherish you, sea weed baths to soften you, Spanish guitar to soothe you, saunas to get you breathing good, yoga classes to get you bendy, dance classes to get you moving, talks to get you thinking, hidden gems to escape to, fire side tipis to curl next to, meditation mornings to align you and positivity to surround you.

Building an impermanent village for three days has never been our thing, so each year we add to the landscape in way that brings a sense of permanence and community to an ever changing world - the Body & Soul stage hosts our favourite musicians whether they be trad, classical, reggae, world music, folk, trip hop, hip hop, down right cheeky, ridiculously funky, or ambient soundscapes mixed with live visuals, set against the backdrop of ancient oak trees that just simply take you there!

And to top it all off, we have DNA's Gerard Minakawa gracing our presence with his architectural bamboo - and the infamous LA based Lucent Dossier, along with their partners in crime, the Dolab - all of whom promise to take you on adventures to other worlds and ROCK YOU from the inside out.
