Amnesty

Building on our success of past years Amnesty International hopes to contribute to the fun of Electric Picnic 2009 as well as allowing members of the public to get involved in our current campaigns.

Our volunteers will don brown tights, knitting needles and purple rinses to become Bingo grannies in the name of human rights. In addition to this, the Amnesty marquee will offer festivalgoers the chance to try their luck at winning our Bingo jackpot.

Our efforts at Electric Picnic will be all about providing people with the opportunity to become a human rights defender. We also want to give festivalgoers the opportunity to learn about our ongoing work and our new campaigns on mental health and ending poverty.
